Corpo Yoga Studio is excited to offer a new kids class for our bigger kids. This summer, teens (ages 10-14) can experience the benefits of yoga. Classes will be specifically designed to for kids in this age group. Teens today are increasingly beginning to experience a more complex world. Yoga can help kids of this age group begin to develop skills to navigate their early adolescence. Kids will have the ability to develop strength, flexibility and confidence through playful poses, vinyasa and games. Through the physical and mental benefits of yoga kids can experience emotional balance by practicing breathing exercises, flowing sequences, balancing poses and deep relaxation while building a healthy relationship with their bodies. A great way to spend some time this summer!

PROGRAM II: KIDS (AGE 3 ½-6) – WEDNESDAYS 12:15-1:15pm with Carly Orshan
(Note: Parents can attend the 12:15PM Adult Yoga Class)

Shine like the sun. Buzz like a bee. Fly like a butterfly and leap like a lizard in this imaginative and interactive kids yoga class for kids 3 1/2 to 6 years of age. This class incorporates animal yoga postures, creative games, music, new adventures and fun to provide a comfortable atmosphere for your child to move freely and blossom. Desiree Rumbaugh: With the ability to demonstrate some of the most difficult postures and--even more amazingly--getting students to experience the same sequences, Desirée has a well-earned reputation for deepening even the most advanced practices. She does it with a sense of humor balanced with a quest for authenticity. Most surprising about her teaching is her ability to tap into the student's vulnerable spaces to access these wonderful poses. Her unique ability to draw out the bright and shining light from within every student, no matter what level of yoga experience, is her gift to the world.

Desiree has three DVD's entitled Yoga to the Rescue from Head to Toe, For Back Pain, and For the Neck and Shoulders, which are specially designed for those who have avoided yoga because of a lack of flexibility, low fitness level or chronic pain. Desirée is also a contributor to Yoga Journal Magazine.
